About this Application
Complete this form to begin your application to join Ayn Rand University. If admitted, you’ll pursue the 28-credit ARU Certificate curriculum, which takes 2-3 years to complete and comprises required courses and elective courses of the student’s choosing. ARU students submit assignments for grades and must meet performance and conduct expectations to remain in the program. Please email us if you have any questions about the program or applying.

Who should apply to join ARU?
Individuals from all fields who are inspired by Rand’s works and who desire to seriously study her philosophy are invited to apply to join ARU. We also welcome applications from those who are undecided on their career direction. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year, with admitted students able to join ARU in the fall and spring of each school year.

Application Components
This form is the first component of the ARU application. Please provide thorough responses so we can best evaluate your fit for the program. Your application will be reviewed within two weeks after submission, and if you are invited to the next stage in the application process you will need to complete the ARU entrance exam. This exam helps us to assess your familiarity with the Objectivism and no preparation is needed. You may also be asked to conduct an interview with a member of the application committee.

Tuition and Financial Assistance
Tuition for the 28-credit ARU Certificate program is paid in 24 monthly installments even if you take more than two years to complete the program. For those joining ARU in the 2024-2025 School Year, the tuition is $666.66 per month for 24 months ($16,000). Financial assistance is available to reduce this tuition significantly.

Requesting Financial Assistance
To request financial assistance, complete the tuition reduction request form along with this application.  Please do not let the tuition discourage you from applying to join ARU.  ARU applicants are admitted into ARU on their merits, and ARU makes every effort to support admitted students who cannot afford the tuition with financial assistance. Requests for reduced tuition do not impact admissions decisions.
