In this invitation-only seminar, ARU Honors Students develop their thinking, writing and research skills by engaging in research projects in a specific area of philosophical interest. The students receive regular feedback on their work from ARI senior fellows.
The seminar is part of the ARU Honors Program, a one-year full-time work-study program for students demonstrating high intellectual potential. Students in the Honors Program take ARU courses while working in a coordinator-level position for one or more of ARI’s departments, contributing to their productive output. The Honors Program provides extensive training, experience and guidance to promising students considering intellectual careers.

Course Faculty
Onkar GhateDr. Ghate is senior fellow, chief philosophy officer, and a board member of the Ayn Rand Institute. He specializes in Rand’s philosophy, Objectivism, and is ARI’s senior instructor and editor. He publishes and lectures on Rand’s philosophy and fiction, including application of Objectivism to cultural issues. He holds a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Calgary.
Keith LockitchDr. Lockitch is ARI vice president of education and a senior fellow. Dr. Lockitch trains students in how to communicate philosophic ideas and uses his background as a physicist to apply Ayn Rand’s ideas to crucial issues in science and technology. Dr. Lockitch received his PhD in physics from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and has conducted postdoctoral research in relativistic astrophysics.
